Stremron IPTV Gateway supports capture off encrypted or free to air signals from DVB-S, S2, T and analogue signals from Composite, S-Video or UHF/VHF sources. Stream capture is realized via standard off-the –shelf TV capture/tuner cards.

Linear live TV and Internet radio – Streamron IPTV Gateway captures video (PAL,/SECAM) or audio streams (FM) from different input connectors (RF, S-Video, composite) and encodes streams in MPEG2 or MPEG4 video and MPEG Layer II audio format.

Encoding – the encoding is performed by TV capture card (hardware encoding). Audio is encoded in MPEG LayerII at different bitrates (128kbit/s to 384 kbit/s). Video is encoded in MPEG2, part 2 at different bitrates (2,5 Mbit/s to 10 Mbit/s CBR or VBR), different resolutions (full D1, CIFF, other) and sub-sampling scheme 4:2:0 (coloutrs encoding). Video can be also encoded in MPEG4.

DVB to IP, DVB Conditional access – Streamron IPTV Gateway utilizes DVB-S (S2), DVB-T, DVB-C off the shelf capture cards. It also supports insertion of different coinditional access module (CAM) via standard conditional access interface (CI).

Analogue input: one can utilise Video compositte input via RCA-jack (PAL/SECAM), Video S-VHS Signal (Y/C) via SVHS-jack (PAL/SECAM) and A/V RF tuner via IEC-jack.
