Streamron provides network streaming services for multicast streaming (IPTV gateway streaming) from various input devices (DVB, SHOUTcast, PVR analogue capture cards) and for multicast/unicast streaming (Content on demand streaming) from file content repository.
Streamron technology incorporates
audio and video streaming server features. It is designed for reposited
(for content on demand feature) and live content streams (IPTV gateway
streaming) - real time audio/video content transmission over IP
network.
Streamron technology incorporates:- IPTV encoder;
- DVB to IP gateway;
- Internet radio (SHOUT Cast) gateway;
- Content on Demand Server.
What makes Streamron technology competitive in comparison to related technologies on the market?- Simple remote installation;
- Simple upgrade/downgrade procedures (yes, that means we give you your money back if you overbuy);
- Designed to work on off the shelf servers with one or multi processor systems (Intel and AMD);
- Linux based (so we can modify the system to your specific needs);
- Designed to utilize off the shelf TV capture cards;
- Various compression and transport standards (yes, we utilize h.264);
- Multiple supported clients (set-up-box, PC, various media players);
- Easy management and monitoring;
- API support for 3rd party IPTV solutions integration (SOAP API).

How does Streamron technology work?
Streamron
IP video streaming technology receives free to air and encrypted TV channels from Satellite, Cable or
Terrestrial systems as well as multimedia content from Internet Radio,
Media File and VoD solutions servers. Streamron's TV Gate decrypts
received signals, utilizing specialized hardware decryption card(s). It
converts signals from DVB to IP Transport Stream format while
preserving the original content encoding (e.g. MPEG2/MPEG4). If the
encoding is different the Streamron's uses hardware encoder cards and
decodes signals from their native format, encodes them to MPEG2/MPEG4
and sends the signals over IP stream (multicast streaming) via
designated IP network.
The
multicast IP signal streaming is processed next by switches and
re-streamed to the set-top-box (the end-user STB) or directly to
digital TV receiver over IP network. The STB decodes the received IPTV
streams and displays its content in the proper form (high or standard
video) on the attached TV.
Support for various IPTV solutions:
Streamron is a vital technology for many IPTV features such as
VoD (video on demand) and
IPTV Gateway.
Streamron includes management, monitoring and content delivery applications.
It has a user friendly web-based administration interface for content
and stream management and incorporates FTP interfaces for content
upload. All functionality provided by the web administration is also
available via SOAP. The Streamron is supporting protocols for data
transmitting, session control, content delivery & management and
media server management & monitoring.
